Indian Hill Country Club

Newington, Connecticut

For fifteen years Indian Hill Country Club in Newington, Connectiuct was my home club.  My only claim to fame there was that I was their handicap chairman for twelve of those years.  If it were not for my getting a retirement job at the TPC River Highlands I'd still be a member at Indian Hill.  One of the great things about Indian Hill was that it was a members club.  I was (and still am) a high handicapper.  It didn't matter to the low handicap members.  If you were there they'd tee it just as often with a high handicapper as with someone at their own ability level.

Honoring Jim Bedus

Jim Bedus was a long time head professional at Indian Hill.  He was one of the nicest gentlemen I've ever had thew pleasure of knowing.  I doublt that there any award given by the Connecticut State Professional Golfers association that Jim has not won.  The above plaque was given to Jim by the members of the club for his outstanding stewardship over the years.
