Work'in on Photograph'in Today

Had to take the wife to some Rehab centers since she's due to have knee replacement surgery shortly. That left me little time today for golf. So with the little time I had left I spent an hour or so fixing some old photographs. That is taking macro photographs of slides that were taken be me or my family some fifty years ago. One of the original ones I worked on was the one to the right. .

The center is kind of washed out due to camera flare and noise (i.e.; speckles). So with a minimal amount of work in Adobe Photoshop Elements it is tweaked to make it just a bit to darken it. The result is the one you see below. I still have a little more to do on it but for a novice like me it was a reasonable start.

Glastonbury Hills Country Club

Played this course earlier this week. It's a private golf facility and is located in Glastonbury, Connecticut.

It had been twelve years since I last played it. The course was better than I had remembered it.

Though a little bit soft from recent rains the greens remained relatively firm and fast. Due to the softness it played much longer than what the scorecard indicated.

Special thanks to their Head PGA Professional Scott Knights for allowing to play the course.
