Here are three of the best golfers born in Arkansas.
Dutch" Harrison: was an American professional golfer whose career spanned over four decades—one of the longest in the history of the PGA Tour. Born in Conway, Arkansas and nicknamed "The Arkansas Traveler", Harrison turned pro in 1930 at the start of the Great Depression.
Paul Runyan: was an American professional golfer. Among the world's best players in the mid-1930s, he won two PGA Championships, and is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Runyan was also a golf instructor.
R.H. Sikes: He played on the PGA Tour in the 1960s and 1970s. Born in Paris, Arkansas, he had a stellar amateur and college career as a member of the golf team at the University of Arkansas. He won the U.S. Amateur Public Links in 1961 and 1962.
