In my mind I had always pictured Japan as a small country.  Then I heard that this (tiny) country had over three thousand golf courses.  I guess it's not so tiny afterall.

Unfortunately my response rate to inquiries I've made to Japan's golf courses has been minimal at best, likely due to language interpretations.
