East Hartford Golf Club's claim to fame is that is where I played my first ever round of golf.  Can't remember what I shot but it was probably in the 120 to 130 range.  That would have been over fifty years ago.  I revisited the course in 2006.  It was in deplorable condition.  The town has subsequently hired a new course management company to run the course.  One of the first thins they did was change its name to Long Hill Country Club.
