Golf Scorecard History 101, Missouri
Set #7
Rockwood GC to Sedalia CC)

Who are famous golfers from Missouri.  There are too many to list thm all so I only listed  five with whom I have heard a lot about.

Tom Watson - Watson is also regarded as one of the greatest links players of all time, a claim backed up by his five Open Championships  victories plus his runner-up finishes in several U.S. and foreign Open championships
Amy Alcott - She became a member of the LPGA tour  in 1975, and won five major open championships and 29 LPGA Tour events in all. She is also member of the Worls Golf Hall of Fame.
Hale Irwin - He was one of the world's leading golfers from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s. He is one of the few players in history to win three U.S. open Championships and became the oldest ever U.S. Open champion in 1990 at the age of 45. As a senior golfer, Irwin ranks first all-time in PGA tour Champions wins.
Judy Rankin -  A member of the World Golf Hall of Fame she joined the LPGA  in 1962 at age 17 and won 26 tour events.
Jay Haas - Haas has had a solid career on the  PGA Tour winning nine times between 1978 and 1993.  He was known for being one of the most consistent players on the PGA Tour over the course of his career and ended up playing 798 events
Horton Smith - Smith turned professional in 1926 and won his first tournament at the Oklahoma City Open. In 1929 he won eight titles. This was an era of expansion and reorganization for professional golf. The PGA Tour was founded in 1934 He accumulated 30 PGA Tour titles in total, the last of them in 1941. He also played on five Ryder Cup teams.
