The 100th in my golf course tour series
Among several prestigious tournaments the Plainfield Country Club has hosted are the 1978 U.S. Amateur, the 1987 U.S. Women's Open, and the 2015 Barclays Classic. The first nine holes were designed by Tom Bendelow which is now known as the West 9 and is distinct from the 18 holes later designed by Donald Ross.
