DeSoto Course to El Dorado Lions Club

The Territory of Arkansas was admitted to the Union as the 25th state on June 15, 1836.   They withdrew from the United States and joined the Confederate States of America during the Civil War After the conclusion of the war they returned to the Union.  To me their nicknames, The Land of Opportunity and The Natural State are more like motto's rather than nicknames.
