Birds of 2009

One of the things I like to do as a photographer is to capture images of birds, even those who are held captive in a cage or at a zoo. In 2009 I visited Tennessee and went to the zoo's in Nashville and Memphis both of which have outstanding bird aviaries. That's where the bulk of these photos were taken. The photos of the colored (dyed) turkeys were taken at the Gozzi Turkey Farm in Guilford, Connecticut.
