Golf Scorecard History 101, Utah Set #10

Golf Scorecard History 101, Utah
Set #10
(Davis Park GC to Frank Skul Memorial GC)

The Utah Capitol Building

As to who were the greatest golfers ever in Utah I would recommend these three guys.
Tony Finau -
He was born in 1989 in Salt Lake City. He won the Utah State Amateur Championship in 2006, defeating future PGA Tour player Daniel Summerhays in the 36-hole championship match. Although Finau had college scholarship offers in basketball, he turned golf professional at the age of 17 and began playing on the Gateway Tour  and the NGA Hooters Tours.  His first PGA Tour victory came in 2016.
Daniel Summerhays - He won the Utah State Amateur Championship in 2000 and 2001 while he was still in high school. He became the first amateur to win a  Nationwide event in July. 2007. He immediately turned professional and joined the Nationwide Tour.  Summerhays would have made $108,000 but he did not get any prize money because he was an amateur.
George "Gix" Von Elm - He was most noted for his amateur career.[1] He was selected by Golf Digest as Utah's greatest amateur golfer and in the early 1960s was named Utah Golfer of the Century. From 1924 to 1931, Von Elm was among the best players in the world.

Now here are nearly 50 golf scorecards from my Utah collection.
