Olde Barnstable Golf Club
Marston Mills, Massachusetts
The Olde Barnstable Golf Club in Marston Mills on Cape Cod is a public facility. From the time I arrived on the first tee I was awed. The course looked exceptionally scenic and in pristine condition. I was psyched for a good round. After three holes I knew ir was going to be an ugly day. Not because of the golf course but because of my golf swing. I quite obviously forgot to bring it with me. And the harder I tried the worse I got. So be it - that's golf.

In spite of my pitiful score I would not hesitate to play this course again. But there are so many other beautiful courses on Cape Cod I've yet to play it's highly unlikely I'll walk these fairways again. Oh!!!, let me re-phrase that, It;s highly unlikely I'll ever walk their rough again.
