Nick Faldo  He decided at age 14 to begin playing golf.  Just a couple of years later  Just three years later he qualified to play in the 1974 English Amateur at Woodhall Spa. In 1975 he won both the English Amateur at Royal Lytham and the British Youths Open Amateur Championship.  On & on he went and is now a Hall of Famer.

Laura Davies, She has achieved the status of her nation's most accomplished female golfer of modern times.  She second non-American to finish at the top of the LPGA money list[, She then won the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit a record seven times: in 1985, 1986, 1992, 1996, 1999, 2004 and 2006.  Over the year she's won a ton of tournaments. 

Sir Thomas Henry Cotton He won the Open Championship in 1934, 1937 and 1948, becoming the leading British player of his generation. The Rookie of the Year award in European Tour is named after him.
