Hildene
Manchester, Vermont
Robert Todd Lincoln was a son of President Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln. He eventually became Chairman of the Board of the Pullman Company which at the turn of the century was one of the largest manufacturing companies in the world. In the early 1900's Robert Todd Lincoln built a mansion in the very scenic village of Manchester, Vermont. It remained the home of Lincoln descendants until the mid 1970's.
The photographs below are of the mansion, the gardens and views from the estate. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend you spend a few hours at Hildene.
