We have made a couple of trips to Branson - the most recent being in 1995.  At the time Branson was noted for having over forty music theaters spread throughout the city and many of them are owned by first class singers & musicians.  A standard day for tourists is a tour or golf during the day followed by dinner and then on to one of the theaters for a live performance.  One thing I found quite remarkable was that out of the two dozen shows we attended during our visits there we never heard one 'four letter' word at any of them.

2014 Connecticut Golf Expo

2014 Connecticut Golf Expo

Amazing!! out of thirty courses represented at the 2014 Connecticut golf expo just sixteen had scorecards available.   Even more amazingly only one Connecticut course, Portland GC, had scorecards available.  Massachusetts led the way with seven.  New York had one, Pennsylvania had three, and Vermont had four.  Pretty sad compared to what I've seen at the Boston Golf Expo and Richmond Golf Expo.

Courses that were there but did not make scorecards available were Wintonbuury Hills GC, Tower Ridge CC, Stanley GC, CC of Woodbridge, GC at Oxford Greens, Blackledge GC, Wethersfield CC, Cranwell GC, Farmington Woods CC, Lyman Orchards GC, Streamsong GR, Wallingford CC and Woodloch GR.

The scorecards I was able to pick up are shown below.

Hartford Flower Show

Hartford Flower Show

For an enthusiastic photographer flower shows are an extravaganza.  They are usually quite large, exceptionally colorful and offer an amazing variety of photographic opportunities.  That was my opinion when I attended my first one in 1998 in Hartford, Connecticut.  At this show I took over 130 photographs but have culled them down to just over 90 for this blog issue.
