Who were the best golfers ever who came from Texas. Here are my top three nominees.
Tom Kite - He spent 175 weeks in the top-10 ranking of the worlds best golfers. He is also known for his innovation as he was the first player to add a third wedge to his bag.
Jimmy Demaret - He won 31 PGA Tour events in a long career between 1935 and 1957, and was the first three-time winner of the Masters, with titles in 1940, 1947, and 1950.
Byron Nelson - he is prominently remembered for having won 11 consecutive tournaments and 18 total tournaments in 1945. He retired from playing the tour when he was 34 years old except for the Masters for which he finished in the top six times between 1947 and 1955
