The 156th in my golf course tour series

The original Golf Club of Texas opened in 2000. It was designed by Lee Trevino.  The course lasted only 13 years when it closed due to severely deteriorated conditions caused by an extreme drought.

About a year later construction began to rebuild, redesign, and reopen course. This time the course architect Roy Bechtol hired to make a few changes by making the course a little longer and adding some additional tee boxes.
