It has hosted a first class PGA tour event for as long as I can remember which include notable ones such as the McGladrey Classic and the RSM Classic. I have been to St. Simonds Island and have walked a few holes on this course but sadly have not played it. My golf experience there has been to play some of the islands other beautiful courses.
