One of the sorry things I see about scorecard collecting is the lack of die hard collectors. Years ago I was trading with a half dozen traders in Australia. Regrettably a few have passed away, most notably George Johnstone who was a prolific trader. Others apparently just lost interest. I also assume some quit due to economics. For example, many years ago I could send a package of 100 different golf scorecards overseas via surface mail for just $3.00. The post office, in all their brilliance, disbanded surface mail. Now they have to go by airmail at ridculous rates, i.e.; up to as much $18.00 At that ludicrous price the postage cost is now in many cases significantly higher than the value of most of the scorecards. Hence, some collectors thought it just wasn't worth it.
