St. Lucia Grand Pitons

St. Lucia Grand Pitons

One of the notable sights in St. Lucia is the Pitons.  The Pitons are two mountainous volcanic plugs, volcanic spires, located in Saint Lucia. The Gros Piton is 2,530 feet high and the Petit Piton is 2,438 feet high. A tour via a boat trip from the city of Castries takes about an hour to reach the Pitons.  Following the viewing of the Pitons the boat drops passengers off in the unremarkable town of Soufriere for a short visit before your return to Castries.
